Draft for legal review. Items in [brackets] still need real details before Fursa launches.
Terms of Use
Last updated 4 November 2026
1. What Fursa is, and isn't
Fursa is a free, nonprofit discovery platform. Founders share short video pitches, and investors watch them, give feedback and ask for introductions.
- No money moves on Fursa. We don't take investments, hold funds, sell securities or charge success fees.
- We are not an investment adviser, broker or crowdfunding platform licensed by the Capital Markets Authority. Nothing on Fursa is an offer of securities or investment advice.
- Any investment happens off Fursa, directly between founder and investor, under their own agreements and applicable law.
- Investors must do their own due diligence. Verification by Fursa means we reviewed an investor's profile, not that we vouch for them. We don't verify founders' claims.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and give accurate information.
- You choose to join as a founder or an investor. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email, so keep your email account secure.
- You can download your data or delete your account at any time from your account page.
- Guests can use the Arena without an account. Signing in later keeps their Arena calls.
3. Founders and your pitch
- Pitches are videos of up to 2 minutes. You can have up to 3 active startups.
- You keep ownership of your pitch and profile. You give Fursa a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process (including automatic captions) and show them to the audience you choose:
- Verified investors only, or all investors, when you publish.
- Anyone using the Arena, including guests, only for pitches you put in the Arena.
- You must have the right to share everything in your pitch, and it must be honest. Don't include other people's personal data without their permission, or confidential information you aren't prepared for investors to see.
- Your contact details are shared with an investor only when you accept their intro request.
4. Investors
- Use what you see on Fursa only to evaluate and contact startups. Don't download, copy or share pitches, or use founders' ideas or information against them.
- Pass reasons and notes help founders improve. Be honest and respectful.
- When you request an intro, the founder sees your profile, your note, and how many pitches you've called and intros you've had accepted.
5. The Arena
The Arena is for practice. Its calls and notes are kept separate from real investor feedback. Practice notes are shown to founders without your name and must not include contact details.
6. Things you must not do
- Mislead people, impersonate anyone, or run scams or unlicensed fundraising.
- Harass, discriminate against, or threaten anyone. Don't post hateful, sexual or violent content.
- Scrape the platform, get around access controls, or create accounts to manipulate feedback or the Arena.
Anyone can report a pitch or note. We may hide content, remove notes, or suspend or ban accounts that break these terms, and we'll tell founders why a pitch was hidden.
7. Liability
Fursa is provided free and “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for decisions you make, or for agreements or losses between founders and investors. Nothing here limits rights you have under Kenyan consumer protection law.
8. Changes, law and contact
- If we change these terms materially, we'll ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction.
